THE SECRET OF FORGIVENESS

A woman married a beautiful and handsome looking man and they both live together happily after. one day, the handsome looking husband developed a rare skin disease that changed his whole look and made him lost his good look.

One fateful day, the woman who is now the breadwinner of the family, on her way from work had a fatal accident which made her lost her eyesight.

They continued with their love story , the blind wife could tell tell how bad the husband’s look as gone worst. one fateful day, the husband died .

His death bought her so much grief and she was so heartbroken . However she gave him a befitting burial that he deserved. As she was leaving his graveside, a certain man behind her called and said ” now that he is gone, how will you be able to walk without him “

She replied and said ” I am not blind , i was just acting , because if he knew i could see his ugliness from his skin disease, it would have upset him more than his illness. all i wanted was his happiness”

The moral of my story is that sometimes it is good for us as individuals to act blind and ignore one another’s short comings , in order to be happy.

In my journey in life, a lot of people had wronged me and hurt me , this sometimes make me so low and unhappy , and if i was not strong enough at some point in my life, it would have resulted in a mental breakdown but i guided my heart so well.

I write and love to share my story sometimes for so many reasons , one is to create awareness and help others to walk through theirs and serve as a yardstick for their self development.

Everyday of my life, i pray for forgiving heart because it might seems so hard , but is the best revenge in life. To heal a wound you just need to stop touching it.

                  CONCLUSION

Keep in mind that forgiving is not for others, it’s for you . It frees up your power, heals your body, mind and spirit. I tell you what, it opens up a pathway to a new place of peace and you can feel a fresh air for you to take to your place of destiny.

  6. Wow. Today’s topic is so inspiring. I think we all still struggle with forgiveness one way or another. However, what helps me is when I think God’s forgiveness daily. We can only try but only God can give us the grace to truly forgive and forget. May God help us all to forgive easily this new year . Amen❤

  8. What a beautiful story that puts things into perspective. Forgiveness and turning a blind eye can be selfless acts. Whether we deem it necessary or not, everyone deserves forgiveness, and sometimes choosing not to see things work out better for everyone involved.
