SUNDAY BREEZE|| GOD HAS NOT FORSAKEN YOU.

I think many of us feel alone when we’re going through trials and tough times. It’s so easy to think that God is so far away when we’re in pain. You feel you may never come out of it alive. You feel God has left you. I call those times Silent season, A time where you feel so empty , stagnant and you think your prayer and fasting wouldn’t change a thing.

Psalm 22:1 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+22&version=NKJV

I know what it feels like because I have been and It’s sure one hell of a place. I tell you a secret, those times are time when God is closest to us.

On today’s post, I want to encourage someone out there that you won’t be the first or last. You are going through the most common phase of a christian race. It’s for the development of your faith and you will survive it.

God is so real, no matter how you feel, It’s none of his pleasure that we go through all of those but It’s all for our good and to make us better. David in the bible felt the same way in Psalms 22 but despite feeling forsaken by God , he chose to focus on GOD. He still , praised, proclaimed God’s faithfulness through his struggle.

When Job’s world fell apart and God was silent on him for like thirty-seven chapters , you can imagine how long that took in years. It was not easy for him but he still prayed the Lord. His story taught me so many lessons and it shows God will never forsake his own.

WHEN YOU THINK GOD HAS FORSAKEN YOU:

  1. He is closer to you than you think
  2. He wants you to rely on him. It’s easy to trust and rely on him when all is going great in life, but in other ways, put your hope in him and not man.
  3. He want you to GROW and MATURE!  Most of us are baby christians. As we all know that there is no easy path to glory and success.
  4. He want you to trust and embrace the promises for you. During your time of dryness, you must patiently wait and  trust in him.

I’ve learned and grown so much through my dry and desert seasons knowing fully that it was a training and preparation period of my life. So If you are going through a similar or some life challenges , I want you to trust and hold God tight like never before

                     CONCLUSION

Finally, I will like to drop this for you to know and remind yourself this when you feel so helpless and overwhelmed :

  1. He is with you.
  2. He will never abandon you.
  3. He is good and loving.
  4. He cares.
  5. He has good plan for your life.

  3. When I am going thru a difficult time, I tend to go back and read Job. After I read this book in the Bible, my situation usually doesn’t seem quite so drastic, and I focus on what God can do with and thru the time in my life.

  5. This is very encouraging. We have to trust the process and that’s what many of us fail to do. I believe things happen for a reason. Stay faithful and believe in something bigger than you. It’s not meant for us to have all the answers.

  6. Hmmm. Have you been peeking in on my life, girl? I feel like the last year or more has been one long test. Actually, I’m not even sure it’s a test as much as an attack on my life, trying to derail the plans God has for me. So much heartache and pain has come my way that I sometimes wonder if I’ll survive, but hey, I’m still here!! Thanks for your encouraging reminder that I’m not alone in all of this. Blessings to you!

  8. I am so thankful for all the times that I felt alone and God showed HImself in a way that could have only been him. It is like that poem “Footprints in the Sand>’ He was carrying us when we thought we were left alone.
