SECRET OF TEAM WORK

Once upon a time in a far land, Rabbit and Turtle had an argument who was the fastest animal between them so they  decided to go on a competition. On the set day, the Rabbit realised he was a fast animal decided to rest halfway and he dozed off because he thought to himself he was fast enough .  The Turtle came along, saw him sleeping and left the Rabbit and continued with the race  and won the race. The moral of this is slow and steady wins the race.

The Rabbit realised he was careless to have lost the race so he did some thinking and challenged the Turtle again to another race. This time around, the Rabbit put all his effort in the race learning from his previous mistake . So during the race, he was consistent, fast and more better and he won the race this time. Fast and steadiness will always beat slow and steady.

So Turtle did some thinking and  challenged the Rabbit to another race again and he gladly agreed.

The race started with the Rabbit learned from his past experience ran so fast with all his strength . He was  leading and he was so ahead until he got to river and he was so confused and as he was trying to figure out what to do,  The Turtle met him there, passed him,got into the river,  swam to the other side to the dry land and continued the race and turtle won the race at this point. The moral of the story here is to first identify your core competency and change the plain feed to suit your competency .

So at this point, both of them had become great friends, They realised the last race would have been better if they had done things differently so they both jointly agreed to go for another race. When they started the race, The Rabbit carried the Turtle and ran very fast and when they got to the river, the Turtle carried the Rabbit at this stage and swam through the river and got to the dry land. The Rabbit took over and carried the Turtle again till they got to the finish line.

The moral of this story is both of them realised their incompetence and change their plans to suit each other. I understand is good to be brilliant and have skills but I have come to realise is better to work as a team and help each other in our journey in life.

                          CONCLUSION

Team work makes things easier in all areas of our life. None of us is as smart as all of us. We all have individual and unique skills in us that we are good . Team work to me is letting everyone in a team take situational leadership in the things they are good in. Team work reduces stress and bring about multiple results. Team work is a collaboration for success.

  3. I must admit I’m an Aquarius and like to work independently (often times because I’ve been a part of teams where others don’t pull their weight). However , when working in a team with people who are fully dedicated, great things can be achieved for sure! I just wish nowadays people had the more of an attitude of unity and community. Although I don’t see that often I will say in the blogosphere, I’ve “met” some great bloggers who have helped educate, inform and be a great system of support.

  6. Great story telling! I agree with team work being a contributing factor to overall success, even when it’s a competition. For example, three of us are studying for the sane promotional exam to get the top spot. Instead of working individually, we decided to work together and it’s been going well! Thank you for sharing!
