HOW TO GET RID OF PROCRASTINATION
This post was inspired while listening to Sia’s song unstoppable some days ago. One of the habit I’ve been trying to get rid for a long time is procrastination.
This is the fourth month of the year and I strongly believe I must get rid of this habit before the first half of the year. I’m not close to perfect , I have my flaws and strengths. My one goal is to reduce my flaws to the bearest minimum.
I began to learn to “push things forward” I would give myself reasons not to do the things that needs to be done at the moment . I must confess that procrastinating has landed me in several unpleasant situations and most times eventually raises my stress.
When I started blogging, I realised that procrastinating has to go . So If idea comes up, I go to work rather than tell myself to chill and write later. The best way on how to overcome procrastination is not a topic that one will tell you what to do . The best way on how to overcome procrastination is to first accept that you are a procrastinator. Learn to have some remainders that will constantly remind you of things you need to do. Lately when procrastination comes, I tend to always listen to calm music to help me stay focused . To fast track things most times I usually promise myself a reward. A reward might be something as simple as a good night rest or as lavish as a spa appointment.
I tell you what, Procrastination is a thief of time. I am working towards eradicating procrastination and I’m glad with the little I’ve eradicated so far and I’m working hard to eradicate every atom of procrastination from my life………….(this sound like a prayer point …LOL)
