HOW TO BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF…

This is really a deep one, I  have received so many emails from some beautiful souls regarding the caption above and a lot of them are worried about life in general, some are even feeling suicidal as they think they are enough to fits in with their peers and I  have replied them according to customised approach that will fit individually. This gives so much joy and to God to make it possible to be a listening ears to my the beautiful souls out there. 

Having said all this, I feel their pain anytime I  read from them and can totally relate with all these phases as well . We all go through phases where we feel we aren’t performing or feeling our best and is natural to go through these periods, because let’s face it, we can’t  be on our A game at all time. I for one regularly go through these periods but I take a moment to remind myself of a few important things to keep me in check and I  work towards getting myself back in track to being the best version of myself I  can be.

So I have a good news for you today if you are one of us that wonder sometimes how you can be the best version of yourself, here are the few tips I  use and is working for me and you can do just this and trust me, u feel so much better;

DON’T WORRY WHAT EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING.

It’s easy to look at what  someone   is doing and take it as an example of what you should be doing in your own life but the truth, is we all have different strengths and abilities , that’s why we have ten fingers and they all have different functions they do and if u take a moment to look closely at your fingers, they are not equal. So what works for A may not work for B vice versa. As they say “Comparison is the thief of joy” and aside from that comparison to me as well is a time waster.I advise you work on your goals instead of using other people’s lives as a yardstick to measure your life. NO, THIS IS SO WRONG!  

GIVE YOURSELF TIME OFF TO UNWIND WHEN NEEDED.

This is another great tip you can use, if you feel you’re unable to stop, when you are extra stressed or exhausted , please take time off or switch off for a while to regain your sanity back. If you are over stressed, you are not going to perform your best,so is better to take time off and come back to complete your task when you are on your A game. I stressed this a lot  to people around me as your mental health is so important to your life and you don’t want to have a breakdown that will affect a lot of other things in your life. On this blog, I will write on mental health and emotional stability as time goes on as we all should be aware of how our mind and brain works, and as you all know the brain is the power house of our body. So back to switching off, it could be a little time for bubble bath, listening to music,taking a short walk, shopping spree, short holiday, or even switching off from the outside world for an hour or two, I did that this morning when I  woke up after my morning prayers, I switched my phone off for two hours because I  just needed that break and now I feel so much refreshed and motivated for the day; everyone needs a break, please give yourself a well deserved break so you can come back to your best again.

DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY

This is also has important as anything to be the best version of yourself. I can say this is one of my life saver, like whenever am low in my spirit, and  I do things that makes me happy, I  feel so happy about life. If you are lucky enough to do a job that you love, great, but if not, make sure that the time spent outside the job is used to do things that makes you happy.

Make time for things you love; be it spending time with the family, your better half, hanging out with good friends, working on a project that gives you joy. I tell you something, sometimes we can’t let the time slip until we know that no time is left at all, so making for things that bring us happiness is mandatory.

It’s important to take care of yourself and make sure you are getting fed and watered properly but I  thought I will  save you healthy living lifestyle in this post which will be saved for another day (Lol) .
