I honestly cannot believe that, christmas is just in couple of weeks. Every time i step outside, seeing everywhere i go beautifully decorated reminds me we are in that special season of the year and am super grateful for keeping me and mine to also witness another.I remembered as a young child, christmas is something me and my siblings look forward too because of the varieties of presents my beautiful mum used to spoil us with and i cant help remembering how i feel so sick of food a day after christmas (LOL). One of the most memorable thing i can never forget are the trips we make to see father christmas and there is no day they take me i don’t panic because of his costume and the fact i thought he came from heaven as i was informed then made it more scary for me. sitting with him those years with his face is something i really don’t look forward too, but his gifts and the refreshments i look forward to. one good memories that will always linger in my head are the new clothing from undergarments to our wristwatches, christmas glasses, bags etc, my mum always make me and my younger sister to wear the same outfit and funny am not her twin. My baby sister was not born then, so it was just the three of us. When my baby sister was born, i was not twinning anymore as i was a big girl at that time…….. These are beautiful memories i will always remember during christmas season and so many more.
So back to today’s gist, let me stop boring you with my childhood christmas experience, before l forget, have you got your christmas menu sorted? i have o. As an adult now, christmas to me is the time to celebrate the birth of christ, is the season of love where all friends and family come together as one family to wine and dine, to exchange gifts and merry but i still believe jesus was born, and he came to the world to save us and redeem so that all our sins can be forgiven. To me, it makes me reflect more on my journey with God and this keep me happy, so to me is not about the food, drinks, gifts, is about my salvation and my relationship with God.
I thought it will be rather be appropriate to share the meaning of christmas wreaths (you probably know , but it is always good to have a refresher course) i will be sincere for a long time, i did mt know the meaning for a long time, i just thought it’s just a decoration to beautify your door during the festive season.
Wreaths are like a circle which means no beginning, or no end, this symbolizes eternity, the evergreen (tree used to make the wreaths) means growth and everlasting . The holly thorns is used in making the wreaths, it clearly symbolises the crown that’s was put on Jesus when he was crucified. Also, the red berries symbolizes the blood that was shed for our sins. The reason why i am writing all these is to let us be aware that behind those beautiful christmas decor, there is always a meaning to all used to make and it has a lot of significant meanings if we are aware, we will reflect and realised we are so lucky. wreaths is one christmas decor i love so much as it makes your door look so glam during the season and it welcomes all your guests from your door. Is one decor i cant do without and my christmas tree in my home, I love the vibes and the energy it gives me knowingly Jesus came to die for us.
So this season, as we are in the celebration mood, Let us aware someone paid our price so we can have a good life . ENJOY AND BE HAPPY. I hope this encourages you today!Till my next post, i have this for you, remember it’s not over until you say so!
